Precision Racing LA’s Karl Forman Earns Best Finish of 2025 at VIR

Los Angeles, CA

It was a season-best event for Precision Racing La’s Karl Forman after earning a pair of top-fifteen results and his best qualifying finish to date in 2025. Taking on the Virginia International Raceway (VIR) and the Toyota GR Cup North America program, Foman moved forward in both wheel-to-wheel races and celebrated with the team post-event.

“Absolute standout weekend for Karl at VIR in the GR cup series, by far the best he's raced and qualified all year long, and to see the consistency in the race as well,” explained coach Ryan Eversley. “Makes me very excited for the rest of our season. Karl is still very new to road racing, so to see him master a track like VIR and come home with almost the top ten is something.”

After qualifying 20th on Saturday and driving forward to finish 14th, Sunday was an even better result for Forman. Earning his best qualifying position of the season, the Precision Racing LA driver reset his best result of the season qualifying 17th with a clean race and crossing the line in P12.

“Day two, qualifying number two, and we improved from yesterday by quite a bit,” expressed Karl Forman. “This is a very good starting position, a little bit better than yesterday, so hopefully we can capitalize on that further and gain some positions in the race today. The goal is to stay out of trouble, and as long as we can do that, I think we will have a good day. Very excited.”

After a solid P14 on Saturday and his best qualifying of the season in 17th for the race, Forman returned to the track Sunday afternoon and pushed his way forward, gaining five positions to finish twelfth.

“Started 17th, so again we improved our qualifying time from yesterday, and then we ended up in 12th with some clean driving, plenty of overtakes,” added Forman. “Overall, every single time we get on the track, we keep finishing better and better, and that trend is something that I look forward to continuing.”

Eversley continued, “I'm really proud of him as his coach and expect more great races moving forward because if you can be fast, you can be fast, so I'm looking forward to the rest of the year. Great job by the entire Precision Racing LA crew.”

The next stop for the Precision Racing L.A. GR Cup program will be at Road America over the August 15 – 17 weekend in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
