Precision Racing LA returned to action this weekend at the iconic WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California, fielding a pair of Audi RS 3 LMS TCR machines. Ryan Eversley and Celso Neto showed impressive pace in their #7 Audi, qualifying near the front of the field before a post-qualifying penalty pushed them down the order. Meanwhile, Ron and Megan Tomlinson steadily progressed during the two-hour race, securing a top-ten finish after starting deep in the field.

After initially qualifying second but being officially classified 16th, Ryan Eversley reflected, “We’ll be starting last in TCR after qualifying yesterday. We had a little off in the Corkscrew that damaged the splitter. In tech, it was hanging lower than the legal limit, so unfortunately, we were moved down the order. The off also damaged the floor, so the guys worked late last night to fix it, clear the radiators and cooling ducts, and get us back on track. It’s a tough lesson, but we have a great car today. This is probably the best car I’ve had here on old tires in a long time. I appreciate all the hard work from the Precision Racing LA crew, and we look forward to rewarding them today with a solid result.”

Starting 16th on the grid, Celso Neto charged through the field, climbing into the top five before handing the car over to Eversley. Ryan then took the lead late in the race, only for a drive-through penalty during a restart to derail their podium hopes, resulting in an eighth-place finish.

Neto shared, “It was a promising race for the whole team. I couldn’t be happier with my first stint — the car was great, and despite tough track conditions and tire degradation, we went from last to third. Ryan did an awesome job getting us into the lead, but unfortunately, a jumpstart penalty set us back. Still, the team showed amazing resilience with fast pit stops and determination. We made big improvements compared to Sebring, and we’ll keep pushing heading into the next round.”

Ryan continued, “I’m really excited for the rest of the year after the car we had today and so proud of the Precision Racing LA team, Audi, and everyone who supports us. Onward and upward.”

In the sister car, Ron Tomlinson started 12th, advancing positions before handing over to his daughter Megan Tomlinson, who maintained a strong pace through several caution periods and restarts, ultimately finishing ninth.

“It was a great weekend overall. Laguna Seca is a stunning track with many elevation changes and a rich history,” explained Megan Tomlinson. “We switched the driver order this weekend, with Ron starting and moving us forward into the top ten. I held that position until the finish despite several cautions and restarts. A great team effort!”

With Laguna Seca behind them, Precision Racing LA now sets its sights on the next event at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, scheduled for June 6–8.
