Precision Racing LA earned a strong result this past weekend at the famed Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTM), with both team entries finishing inside the top ten. The pairing of Celso Neto and Ryan Eversley brought their Audi TCR home in third, while the father-daughter duo of Ron and Megan Tomlinson secured a solid ninth-place finish after a race that featured a lengthy caution period.
After completing Friday practice, qualifying saw Precision Racing LA entries deliver competitive runs. Neto and Eversley qualified sixth in the #7, while the #37 Tomlinson entry slotted in tenth.
“It was a good qualifying session and a decent starting spot for the race,” said Celso Neto. “I struggled in a few sectors and lost some time, but now it’s about focusing on the race and improving.”
Megan Tomlinson added, “It was a solid session for us, our highest start so far, I believe in P10. I’m happy and looking forward to gaining time and positions in the race.”
When the green flag dropped Saturday afternoon, the race was quickly defined by strategy and tire management, compounded by a lengthy full-course caution. Neto and Eversley executed a patient, smart race to climb to third and stand on the podium, while Ron and Megan Tomlinson finished ninth.
“Super happy with that race,” Neto commented. “Everyone struggled with tire wear, but we kept things under control and ran smart. I moved up to fourth right away at the start, and despite heavy tire degradation late in the stint, Ryan had a great stint that put us on the podium. It was a dogfight at the end, but we came away with great momentum. On to Road America!”
“Very happy with our result today, earning a podium at one of the toughest tracks on the schedule,” said Ryan Eversley. “This is a great reward for the team’s hard work behind the scenes. We think we’ve solved some fueling issues that plagued us earlier this year, and we’re optimistic that we can fight inside the top five through the second half of the season. Hats off to Celso for handing me a clean car in a good position. We also had incredible support from fans this weekend, which made this podium extra special.”
With a podium and a double top-ten result, Precision Racing LA now turns its attention to the next event at the 4.014-mile, 14-turn Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin—one of North America’s most iconic road courses.
